I am really excited to share Mum's Classic Crab Curry recipe today! My mum really enjoys seafood and crab curry is one of her favorites. However, I did not like crab curry as much growing up but luckily grew to enjoy it as an adult. Thank goodness otherwise I would have missed out on so much deliciousness! Coconut crab curry is super easy to make and super delish! I will not ramble on today and get straight to the recipe! Today's recipe uses Dungeness crab that we typically get from Costco but you can use just about any crab in this recipe. The crab is already pre-cooked so very little work needs to be done in terms of cleaning. We chop them into smaller pieces for this curry. Once crab is prepped, then cook mustard seeds, cumin seeds, onions, ginger, garlic, curry leaves and chilis if using. Add turmeric and garam masala and cook until aromatic. Then add the crab pieces, coat in the spices and cook for about five minutes. Add in tomato sauce, water and coconut milk. Add salt. Bring to boil for about 5 minutes. Then reduce heat and simmer for another 5 minutes. Stir in chopped cilantro and add in more for garnish.

And the dish is done! Entire recipe takes less than 30 minutes but will taste like it has been cooking away for hours. Serve hot over rice or with rotis or pooris. Make for yourself or impress a guest! Try Mum's Classic Coconut Crab Curry today!
